PresentationTube offers a desktop presentation recorder and video sharing platform to help teachers, students and business professionals easily produce and share professional and quality video presentations. Bitrate, as the name implies, describes the rate at which bits are transferred from one location to another. In other words, it measures how much data is transmitted in a given amount of time. Bitrate is commonly measured in bits per second (bps), kilobits per second (Kbps), or megabits per second (Mbps). For example, a DSL connection may be able to download data at 768 kbps, while a Firewire 800 connection can transfer data up to 800 Mbps. Bitrate can also describe the quality of an audio or video file. For example, an MP3 audio file that is compressed at 192 Kbps will have a greater dynamic range and may sound slightly more clear than the same audio file compressed at 128 Kbps. This is because more bits are used to represent the audio data for each second of playback. Similarly, a video file that is compressed at 3000 Kbps will look better than the same file compressed at 1000 Kbps. My organisation recently published a number of videos on the public website (EDIT – have removed the link as the videos have been taken off now). Those videos started automatically as soon as the page loaded. The problems with this are: Automatically playing audio on a webpage is usually an action which the user will not expect. It is therefore, at the very least, an irritation, especially if the user is in an environment where this is not appropriate. At worst, though, the audio may conflict with other audio that the user is already listening to. That might be music, or perhaps another video. But far worse, it could be a blind user’s screen reader software, and the resulting conflict would make it very hard to browse that page to pause the video or mute the sound. Many barriers are facing the selection and development of quality e-content in developing countries, particularly in the Arab region. We received this feedback from FauxJoe, a PresentationTube user via Give away of the day http://giveawayoftheday.com/presentationtube-22 Just to be fair to developer, I have to say that installation went flawlessly on Win7 64. After that, it took about 45 minutes to get the program working correctly. Most of the problems were created because my computer is used almost entirely for work and sound settings were all optimized for dictation equipment rather than recreation. Once I set the video cam as default recording device, the program worked great. Able to create presentation videos much faster than with more elaborate recording software. This will be my go-to program when I need a down-and-dirty quick recording. Keep in mind that Powerpoint must not be running when you start this program. Process for recording is very easy: 1. Verify your webcam is default recording device for sound and video. 2. Make sure Powerpoint is not running. Start program and load presentation FROM THE “OPEN”

The first “problem” is that v2.0 and not v2.2 is installed. Launching the program automatically also opens my laptop’s webcam. Make this an option, please. Having the camera (and it’s blue or red light) on is annoying, distracting and disturbing. Also, changes made to the Recording Options only apply to one session and must be reset every time the program is launched. (The changed settings might apply to only 1 recording and may need to be reset for subsequent recordings made during the same session but I only made 1 recording.) Please, also add a listing of features to your webpage. There’s little information re in what form/file formats recordings can be saved, on what needs to be done between recording and uploading. A  screencast  is a digital recording of  computer  screen output, also known as a  video screen capture , often containing audio  narration . The term  screencast  compares with the related term  screenshot ; whereas screenshot is a picture of a computer screen, a screencast is essentially a movie of the changes over time that a user sees on a computer screen, enhanced with audio narration.  Screencasts can help demonstrate and teach the use of software features. يمكن تعريف البوابة التعليمة الإلكترونية Instructional e-Portal أو بوابة الويب Web Portal  ببساطة علي أنها موقع ويب تعليمي يهدف إلي مساعدة المعلمين و الطلاب علي الوصول إلي المصادر التعليمية التي يقصدونها عبر تصنيفها و عرضها فقاً لأهدافها و جودة محتوياتها و ملائمتها لمستخدميها للوصول إلي المعلومة المطلوبة في وقت قصير و بأقل مجهود ممكن. و هي تعد المقصد الأول و الرئيسي للعديد من مستخدمي الانترنت و من أكثر المواقع تصفحاً مقارنة بالعديد من المواقع الخدمية الأخرى. كما أن غالبية البوابات التعليمية توفر خدمة البحث Search  عبر كامل البوابة أو في نطاق معين منها، بالإضافة إلي استضافة المجموعات الحوارية Discussion Groups  و مجموعات الدردشة Chatting و المجموعات الإخبارية News Groups . و قد تم توفير مئات البوابات الإلكترونية في السنوات الست الماضية و التي تخدم فئات متباينة من متصفحي الإنترنت من طلاب و معلمين و باحثين و تغطي كافة المجالات العلمية و التعليمية و الإدارية. و بصفة عامة، يهدف إنشاء البوابات التعليمية إلي: ·         التغلب علي النقص في الإمكانات المادية و المكتبية و أدوات ا
